Cleveland Orchestra & Masthead Brewing Co.  - SOLD OUT

Founded in 1918 by a group of local citizens, the Cleveland Orchestra has become and remains one of the most sought after performing ensembles in the world.  Since its opening in 1931, Severance Hall has been the orchestra’s winter home to where they set a standard of artistic excellence.  Join us as we set out to listen to conductor Franz Welser-Most perform Beethoven’s Heroic Symphony. 

Following the performance, we will go down to Masthead Brewing Co & eat lunch in the historic Bryant Building in downtown Cleveland.  The building, originally built in 1921 as an automotive dealership, is now on the National Register of Historic Places.  The taproom features a 100 foot long bar, and an additional 50 seat friendly patio with a view of downtown Cleveland.  Masthead includes a full bar and kitchen focusing on American and Belgian style beers, Neapolitan wood-fired pizza, and a barrel aged beer program, which utilizes exclusively allocated whiskey barrels from top-rated distilleries.  Bus trip will leave at 10:00 AM and return at approximately 2:30 PM.  Trip cost is $45 and includes transportation and ticket in the orchestra level.  Lunch payment is made directly to the restaurant.

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad and Hale Farm  - SOLD OUT

Train enthusiast?  Enjoy beautiful park scenery?  Do you just like to sit and relax while a train takes you to a different place?  You can explore the beauty of Cuyahoga Valley National Park on the train.  The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is a premier tourist attraction, offering train excursions through the park. The train offers an excellent view of the natural scenery and wildlife and an opportunity to learn about the history of the railroad in valley.  Our trip will begin at Rockside Station. 

Our trip will visit Hale Farm & Village, a living history museum of the Western Reserve Historical Society, is located on 90 acres in the Cuyahoga Valley with 32 historic structures, farm animals, heritage gardens, farming and early American craft and trade demonstrations including glassblowing, blacksmithing, spinning, weaving, candle making, pottery, broom making and more!  Hale Farm & Village captures the story of the Hale Family and their 200 year old family farm nestled in the Cuyahoga Valley – a home, a retreat and since 1958, an outdoor living history museum.  Hale Farm & Village offers self-guided tours.  The group will eat lunch at Café 1810 which serves a variety of sandwiches, salads and sides along with locally sourced seasonal items. Beer and wine are also available or try a famous Hale Ale Root beer.

After a day of exploration, sit back and relax once again as the train returns to the station.

Geneva on the Lake

Geneva-on-the-Lake, located on the shores of Lake Erie, is Ohio's first Summer resort! Families have enjoyed vacationing there on America's north coast for generations. During the summer season, the famous entertainment Strip is alive with arcades, amusement rides, restaurants, nightclubs, live music and more. Lake Erie offers fishing, boating, and swimming -- often with just a short walk.  Walk the strip or walk the beach. Ride the bike path, play a round of mini golf, ride the bumper boats or go-carts. Visit the covered bridges or take a canoe trip. Shop the Flea Market and Art Show.   There is something for everyone to do in Geneva-on-the-Lake.

Our trip will begin at The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake, which boasts breathtaking views with its location on the southern shore of Lake Erie, near Geneva State Park in the heart of Ohio Wine Country.  An included buffet lunch at The Lodge’s signature restaurant will kick off the day.  Horizons Restaurant at The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake, from the striking, glass-enclosed octagonal dining room with spectacular Lake Erie views, to a local menu of classic American cuisine, Horizons presents Ohio Wine Country dining at its best.

Once lunch is over, we will head to the entertainment Strip for you to enjoy all of what Geneva-on-the-Lake has to offer.
