Geneva on the Lake

Geneva-on-the-Lake, located on the shores of Lake Erie, is Ohio's first Summer resort! Families have enjoyed vacationing there on America's north coast for generations. During the summer season, the famous entertainment Strip is alive with arcades, amusement rides, restaurants, nightclubs, live music and more. Lake Erie offers fishing, boating, and swimming -- often with just a short walk.  Walk the strip or walk the beach. Ride the bike path, play a round of mini golf, ride the bumper boats or go-carts. Visit the covered bridges or take a canoe trip. Shop the Flea Market and Art Show.   There is something for everyone to do in Geneva-on-the-Lake.

Our trip will begin at The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake, which boasts breathtaking views with its location on the southern shore of Lake Erie, near Geneva State Park in the heart of Ohio Wine Country.  An included buffet lunch at The Lodge’s signature restaurant will kick off the day.  Horizons Restaurant at The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake, from the striking, glass-enclosed octagonal dining room with spectacular Lake Erie views, to a local menu of classic American cuisine, Horizons presents Ohio Wine Country dining at its best.

Once lunch is over, we will head to the entertainment Strip for you to enjoy all of what Geneva-on-the-Lake has to offer.

Ramseyer Farms

Ramseyer Farms is a fifth-generation family farm in the heart of Wayne County, Ohio.  At Ramseyer Farms, they believe in the importance of quality family time and have worked to provide a place with a friendly atmosphere filled with activities to delight all ages.  Their hope is that your visit to the farm will create lasting memories and will become one of your family’s favorite traditions.  What once started as a potato farm has now become a family destination that includes THE OHIO MAZE, as well as hayrides, a corn barn, spudway pedal carts, a pumpkin house, an obstacle course, hide & slide hill, U-Pick pumpkin patch, Bessie the milking cow, duck races, rat racers and hamster wheel, and much much more.  Truly a great fall spot for the entire family.  Food concessions are available on festival weekends featuring homemade french fries, fresh kettle corn, and apple cider.

If you don’t fill up at the festival, the next stop will be to the Broken Rocks Café and Bakery.  Let the smell of freshly baked bread lure you in and in the warm glow of our wood and brick interior, you can relax with your family and friends.  With your first bites of the chef’s delicacies and a sip of their fine spirits, you’ll know you’ve found a home away from home.  Before you go back out to the street, remember to bring along some bread from the artisan bakery.
