With 285 breathtaking acres, Lake View Cemetery is the perfect place to spend the afternoon. Even though the cities of Cleveland, Cleveland Heights, and East Cleveland have grown up around what was once open country side, the rural atmosphere that existed when Lake View was founded in 1869 continues to be preserved and cultivated. Lake View is a memorial to those who built our community, from titans of industry and civic leaders, to immigrant laborers and descendants of slaves. From the James A. Garfield Monument, to Wade Chapel, to the final resting place of Eliot Ness, their land is rich with history. The private tour has boundless stories of tradition and history.
